Adam Hart-Davis Plaque 47

Adam Hart-Davis (born 1943) is a scientist, freelance journalist, photographer, author and radio & TV broadcaster. Whilst working as a producer for Yorkshire Television in the 1990's he started cycling to work. One day he noticed a blue plaque at Fieldhead Farm Birstall, birthplace of Joseph Priestley. It led to the book and TV programme "Local Heroes" and documentaries such as "What the Romans did for Us" ; "What the Victorians did for Us" and other documentaries about science. Adam says Joseph Priestley changed his life!

The photo above shows Lodge Lane Norristhorpe where Adam lived for a time, looking westwards towards Mirfield and Kirkheaton.
